Internal Sales Estimator

Objectives

  • To effectively manage customer enquiries and quotation requests

  • To maximise the conversion of ALL quotations to orders

  • To ensure the sales pipeline is accurately updated on a daily basis

  • To provide superior customer service for enquiries from contract chain/stakeholders

  • To provide support to the external sales team

  • To provide accurate information to the internal Customer Services team in order to process orders

Reporting

 

  • Reporting daily into the Internal Sales Team leader.

Working Pattern

 

  • Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm

  Responsibilities and duties

  • Manage, on a daily basis, the satisfaction of customer enquiries, provide accurate quotations and initial product offer and appropriate advice on the correct specification and advice in line with the Eurobond standard product offer and quotation process 
  • Provide product guidance to customers and/or any stakeholders in the specification chain to promote the appropriate use and application of Eurobond products

  • Ensure the requisite information is available as part of the enquiry validation process to enable the enquiry to be processed through to quotation

  • Ensure correct use and application of the Eurobond pricing guidelines for all products adhering to pricing rules applied to maintain product contribution levels and percentage margins where required

  • Pro-actively update the sales pipeline in conjunction with the internal and external sales team and prospecting functions as set out in the pipeline process

  • Ensure that the completed quotation has all required information to allow Order Management to effectively convert the quotation to a sales order

  • Follow up quotations for a three-month view directly with customer and converted where appropriate, in conjunction with the internal and external sales teams

  • Update pipeline report within the ERP system (Epicor) for ALL quotation categories as guided by the external sales team via phone call or email

  • Follow up quotations to conclusion to pre-booking/order processing stage 

  • Provide effective support to the external sales team, maintaining a constant relationship with external sales partners

  • Adhere at all times to the pre-booking and order management hand over guidelines and process

  • Carry out general administrative duties to include filing as required

  • Pass appropriate technical enquiries to technical services team

  • Process information and pass to the internal Customer Services team for processing orders

Education and experience

 

Essential

  • Computer literate
  • Producing quotations

  • Must have used a telephone to answer customer enquiries and follow up quotations

Desirable

  • Worked with a Sales environment
  • Understanding of profit V cost

  • Knowledge of the construction Industry

  • Previously worked within manufacturing

  • Understand sales process budget/pipeline requirements of a business

  • Budget/pipeline requirements of a business
  • Knowledge of Epicor
