Corus Colors, manufacturer of Colorcoat® pre-finished steel for over four decades, have added a new technical paper to the library of those currently available. The Colorcoat® Technical Paper entitled ‘An approach to the design of cost effective low carbon buildings’ gives the results from a study conducted by Corus and a number of their strategic supply chain partners and technology providers to model the effects of changes to the building envelope and services - click here to view.
The paper establishes a hierarchy of measures, which can be taken to reduce the energy consumption and associated carbon dioxide emissions from pre-finished steel clad buildings. The guidance aims to help specifiers to design low carbon buildings without incurring excessive additional costs and also exceed current Building Regulation requirements by following these measures.
