Eurobond Cycle Team Supports Local Charity
27th June, 2016
A quartet of charity cyclists raised more than £5,000 for St David's Hospice Care by conquering part of the gruelling Tour de France.
The four employees of Eurobond Laminates Ltd, which has a base at Wentloog, in between Newport and Cardiff, completed the first stage of the 2014 Tour de France route held in Yorkshire.
Eurobond Laminates Ltd managing director, Simon Thomas; engineering manager, Craig Cheshire; regional manager for the North East, Phil Bell and operations director, Gavin Rees, completed the route taking on four of the most notorious climbs in Britain, Greenhow Hill, Buttertubs, Cray and Grinton Moor, along the way.
"A donation of this amount, £5,391.46, is rare and we fully appreciate the effort that both the riders and all supporters have gone to in order to raise such a fantastic sum."
