A long span, architectural external wall panel

Rockspan^™ is a solid external wall panel that allows your design to stand strong. Cladding a building with Rockspan^™ allows an architect to create a building that is not only strong, reliable and easy and quick to install but has exceptional environmental credentials and minimise the risk of ‘responsible person’ in the event of a fire through its truly non-combustible credentials.

Rockspan^™ is the cost-effective solution to achieving passive fire protection over large areas of external wall and has a low environmental impact 'built in'. As with all our insulated composite panel systems, at its core, is a non combustible structural mineral wool insulant which guarantees the highest level of performance in both LPCB and Factory Mutual, insurance based fire tests.

From 'cradle to cradle' Rockspan^™ has a carbon footprint significantly lower than that of an equivalent plastic foam cored composite panel with a polyisocyanurate (PIR) core. The added comfort of a CarbonNeutral building envelope is also available when specified with the Corus Confidex Sustain^TM Guarantee. At end of life, both the steel facings and insulation can be recycled into virgin product, with no appreciable loss of material, or need to deal with harmful blowing agents such as pentane.

In addition, Rockspan's^™ structural integrity can achieve spans in excess of 6 metres and substantially reduce the need for secondary steelwork. Hence reducing build costs and complexity.

Rockspan^™ can also be combined with Europanel^™, our flagship architectural product, where high end looks and flexibility are required front of house and a more cost effective solution is required at the back.

Rockspan™ Lite

Rockspan^™ Lite has a through-fixed joint detail, a composite panel type extensively used on industrial and distribution type applications. The through-fixed insulated composite panel is manufactured using an environmentally friendly, engineered, non-combustible Rockwool core. Suitable for horizontal or vertical applications, available with a micro-rib external profile.

Rockspan™ Extra

Manufactured with a 135kg/m3 high density Rockwool structural non-combustible core, Rockspan^™ Extra offers improved spanning capabilities and enhanced fire resistance. Use of this external wall cladding system can also eliminate or drastically reduce the requirement for secondary steelwork, decreasing build costs and increasing floor areas. It is available with a micro-rib or architecturally flat external profile.

Rockspan™ Ultima

Rockspan^™ Ultima is the result of an extensive long term design project between Eurobond and Rockwool. This external wall cladding system has been developed to provide up to 4 hours fire resistance (integrity & insulation), ensuring life safety and business continuity. It is available with a micro-rib or architecturally flat external profile.
