Raising Money for Whizz-Kidz

17th February, 2016

Simon Thomas, Managing Director of Eurobond Laminates will be running the UK's largest - and arguably most iconic - race, the 2016 Virgin Money London Marathon, for national disabled children's charity, Whizz-Kidz. Simon will be raising money in order to meet his fundraising target which will help to provide vital mobility equipment and life skills for disabled children across the UK.

The money raised from this event will go towards transforming young disabled children's lives - literally overnight. Whizz-Kidz provides disabled children and young people with vital mobility equipment, opportunities to meet and have fun, and training to help them gain skills and look forward to a bright future.

Simon said, 'Whizz-Kidz is a fantastic charity helping to provide much needed equipment and support to disabled children, giving them the chance to develop their full potential.'

Head of Events at Whizz-Kidz, Gurvinder Gregson, said, 'The London Marathon is incredibly important for Whizz-Kidz as it raises over £1m for the charity thanks to our runners' fundraising efforts'.

'We have a team of over 500 people running for Whizz-Kidz this year and it is wonderful that so many people are using their personal challenge to give disabled children across the UK the chance of a childhood and an independent future.'
